And so we begin...

After a month of planning and praying, the Advance on Los Angeles began today. We met at Biola, situated luggage and drivers, and made off for the heart of the city.

We're staying at the Korea Campus Crusade for Christ Training Center dormitory, located right on 7th st and Hoover. There's a gate on the driveway, and barbed wire on the fence, which tells us just how much this city needs the Gospel we live for. We got a tour from our host, Chase, and ate dinner shortly thereafter. Our food for the week is provided by Kellee's awesome parents, and even if the ministry side of things is disappointing, I'll have been glad to come for the food.

At 8 o'clock, all 15 of us gathered downstairs for our first team meeting and Orientation to the Week. Everyone got job descriptions, learned the big picture for this week at Roosevelt HS and Huntingdon Park HS, and prayed.

Each of these schools has such an exciting week lined up; Daniel Chacon and the RHS team have 5 days of ministry, each with a different theme. Huntingdon Park is having their first Christian Concert and Bible Club rally, ever. This will break ground for both clubs, and tell their campus about Christ in new ways. God has been here already in getting us this far, and through all of our prayers and service, He will continue to work miracles and bring students to Himself.

Specific prayer requests:
1. Continuity at Huntingdon Park - pray that there's a smooth progression as this club starts ministry bigger than its ever done before, grows to become leaders and ministers, and continues work after our team from Biola leaves and has less contact.
2. Auditorium - pray that the room for the "I Agree" rally is confirmed for next week at H.P. HS.
