The One Who Goes Before Us

I am excited to be able to bring you our first big answer to prayer! In fact within a minute or so of hearing the news, I called the blog on this one, I was so excited. My team is at Huntington Park High School, and as you may know, we were having some setbacks getting approval for our two main events this week, the first, a band to play on Wednesday to draw some attention and help publicize our second event, Friday's "I Agree" rally.
When we met the advisor of the Huddle club, Coach Wilson, he informed us that Friday was a go! As we were meeting with two of the other advisors, Coach Wilson pulled out our team leader, Kellee, and our trip director, Mark, to talk to the administration about Wednesday. They returned a few minutes later with smiles on their faces, announcing we are on for both Wednesday and Friday in the auditorium. Praise the LORD!!
This morning as we drove to the school, Kellee shared with us from Deuteronomy 31:6-8. God tells his people to be "strong and of good courage...And the Lord, He is the One that goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed." While we may not be promised the destruction of the walls of Huntington Park High, God truly is the One that goes before us!
